Thank you for expressing interest on how to obtain an endorsement from the Polish-American Leadership Political Action Committee (PAL-PAC).
As you may know, PAL-PAC is a political organization formed for the purpose of addressing social, civic and business matters relating to the Polish- American community in the United States. Through education and advocacy, our goal is to raise awareness of issues that affect the Polish community and to promote leaders who will address these issues. Our goal is to unite all Polish American individuals, businesses and organizations in order to strengthen our voice with an initial emphasis toward including Poland in the program.
The following is an explanation of the PAL-PAC endorsement process:
The purpose of the questionnaire is to obtain important background information while assessing whether a candidate’s past actions and accomplishments are relevant to the concerns of the Polish-American community. Because those concerns have not always been clearly articulated by the community, a commitment to future responsiveness will be considered as seriously as past performance. Unless the campaign literature sufficiently addresses these inquiries, candidates should answer all applicable questions, and leave blank those that do not apply. Responses should be typewritten or printed legibly, and 10 copies should be brought to your interview. If the candidate wishes to bring other background material to the interview, 10 copies of each should also be provided. To be considered for endorsement, this questionnaire must be completed, submitted as stated above, and the candidate or his/her designee must appear at the endorsement session.
Candidates will be interviewed by the Board of PAL-PAC during the panel hearing. If a candidate is not able to attend, a representative can be sent in his/her place. Candidates will make a brief 10-minute presentation. The Board will then have an opportunity to ask the candidate questions. Finally, the candidate can present closing remarks and ask any questions to the Board. Candidates not appearing personally or by a representative will not be considered.
The Board of PAL-PAC will meet after the panel hearing to discuss the candidates and issue its endorsements. Candidates will be endorsed based on their likelihood of supporting and addressing the concerns of the Polish-American community, past experience, personal integrity, civic involvement, fiscal responsibility, and viability of candidacy. All candidates who participate in the panel hearing will be notified in writing of the board’s decision. Endorsed candidates will receive verification of their endorsement, signed by the president of PAL-PAC.
In summary, in order to be considered for endorsement by PAL-PAC a candidate must:
- COMPLETE THE ENCLOSED QUESTIONNAIRE OR PROVIDE MATERIALS THAT DETAIL THE REQUESTED INFORMATION AND SUBMIT TO INFO@PAL-PAC.ORG OR IN PERSON.
- SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW
Candidates DO NOT have to be Polish-American to be endorsed by PAL-PAC, nor does Polish heritage guarantee an endorsement.
If you have any questions, call the PAL-PAC office at 847-730-3159 or email email@example.com.
Thank you for seeking an endorsement from PAL-PAC and good luck in your future endeavors.
Lucas Fuksa, President
